Katsuo Aoki, Predictive Dreams, porcelain, 2011

J’s texting me now. Ugh. This is really a trivial matter, I can’t believe he’s still on about it.

I really hope this doesn’t turn into a full-blown fight. We’ve been having far too many of those lately over the littlest things.

as an esteemed horticulturist i find this trope offensive and debasing as it undermines the wide variety of visual perceptual properties than can be observed in the flora of this particular geological period i believe in my heart that it perpetuates a reprehensible streak of ignorance with regards to the remarkable diversity of color in flowers and i hope you step on a lego

youre MISSING the POINT darling in the metaphor in that the quote un-quote BEAUTY of the piece lies MORE in the concept THAN in the accuracy

I wouldn’t quite call that particular piece of poetry beautiful, dear.

in this case well NO mostly because its ACTUAL purpose is as what can be BEST DESCRIBED as moDERN ART which in my opinion is pathetic and is NOTHING compared to the CLASSICS and EVERYTHING is a metaphor for EVERYTHING and if you dont get it dont blame me youre a PHYSICS major <3

The classics are nice, but I would more describe this piece as “written by a brain-damaged five-year-old” than “modern art”. Modern art is generally meaningful, with some sort of commentary on society, politics, or people and the state of the world in general.
